Job Summary
Deposit Operations Analyst II supports Wires Operations, handling domestic/international wire transfers, EOD proofs with the Federal Reserve, OFAC/fraud review, wire investigations, and support for RTP/FedNow rails. Responsibilities include applying state/federal banking regulations and bank policies, ensuring daily operational tasks are completed, researching wire issues, validating wire instructions, clearing OFAC hits, supporting EOD functions, and identifying process improvements to increase efficiency. The role requires knowledge of wire processing, OFAC/BSA considerations, SWIFT tags, Fed service messages, and strong data analysis, communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced banking environment. Qualifications emphasize experience in financial services, intermediate operations knowledge, ability to learn systems, and flexibility for nontraditional banking hours.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in the financial services industry
- Intermediate experience knowledge and training in branch operation activities, terminology and products and services related to retail and commercial account customers
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to understand and analyze large amounts of data
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook
- Knowledge of the SWIFT field tags
- Knowledge of Jack Henry products preferred
- Detail oriented; quickly spot out irregularities
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Flexible nontraditional banking hours required
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proactive identification and modification of procedures to increase service level
- General knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations
- Knowledge of Fed types, sub types and field tags
- Ability to learn and define new systems and processes
