Job Summary
Conduct site surveys, install, align, and commission wireless communication systems for the TaaraConnect program's Free Space Optical Communications network. Perform optical and RF testing, troubleshoot network turn-up activities, and coordinate logistics for domestic and international installations. Train local contractors, collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges, and develop deployment procedures and documentation. Support network operations and incident response as needed. Requires 5+ years of telecommunications experience, valid U.S. driver's license, and ability to travel up to 20% of the year. Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of telecommunications, networking, or field engineering experience
- Experience installing and troubleshooting wireless, RF, or communications systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid U.S. driver's license and passport
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the year
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications
- Linux, Unix, or Windows administration experience
- Experience with telecommunications deployments, manufacturing support, or process development
