Deployment Engineer

Deployment Engineer responsible for hands-on deployment and on-site operations of AI-driven robotics systems. You will stand up and maintain deployment sites with network bring-up (captive portals, firewall/MAC whitelisting, token rotation, VPNs, VLANs/SSIDs), provision inference servers, and perform end-to-end validation to ensure robots collect and infer correctly. Own incident response, including on-call triage, debugging, and post-mortems, while coordinating with customer IT and site contacts. Debug across the stack (Linux services, Docker, GPU/inference workloads, networking, and robot hardware) and develop scalable runbooks, dashboards, and tooling so that deployments are reliable and reproducible. Act as the on-site face for customers, schedule deployments, and represent the company at sites and conferences. Collaborate with engineering to push fleet-wide fixes, and document learnings back to hardware/software teams. Bring strong Linux fundamentals, networking skills, experience with GPUs and onboard hardware, and a calm, customer-facing communication style. Willingness to travel to sites on short notice is required. Bonus points for robotics/embedded experience, observability tooling (Grafana/Datadog), and prior field/deployment or solutions-engineering work in hardware/robotics startups.
