Job Summary
Perform minor structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and engine systems while conducting diagnosis of malfunctions. Execute maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Fabricate, install, and test installation, routing, clamping, and wiring harnesses by reading wiring diagrams and blueprints. You may receive additional training for aircraft low observable maintenance, including repair of composite or metallic structures, sanding, stripping, testing, masking, and preparation tasks. This role requires a Top Secret clearance, 4 years of aviation experience, and willingness to travel 50% of the time, including extended shifts and on-call status.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 4 years of relevant experience to the Aviation and Aerospace industry
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within 365 days, as determined by the company
- Ability to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport
- Willingness to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days within a rolling year away from primary work location to support business needs
- Willingness to perform required work in Palmdale, CA and other locations as determined by business needs
- Willingness to travel 180 days in a rolling year
- Willingness to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status (24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year), as required by business needs
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces
- U.S. Citizenship
