Job Summary
Oversee daily operations in the designated production department, leading a team to meet throughput and quality objectives. Responsibilities include assigning tasks, training and evaluating performance, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring safe and efficient use of equipment, managing department inventory, enforcing policies, reporting daily outputs, and collaborating with the Department Manager to identify improvements and drive operational excellence. Strong leadership, organizational, and safety-focused mindset with English and Spanish language skills being a plus; proficient in communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehousing setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a scrap metal, manufacturing, or warehousing environment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a supervisory, lead, or similar position
- Experience in non-ferrous scrap metal industry related to grading and alloy identification preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts is a plus
