Job Summary
Support buying staff in managing the meat, seafood, and deli business by communicating programs to merchandising and retail teams. Respond to customer service inquiries and manage program adjustments as needed. Run daily Fill Rate, Out of Stock, and other reports each morning, then upload product, advertisement, and holiday distributions. Execute daily zero inventory orders and communicate needs to suppliers while reporting large variances through daily weights reports. Help set up bi-annual vendor showcase events and perform other duties to support buying staff. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with a 4-year degree preferred in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
Required Qualifications
- Reading, writing, math and communication skills at a proficient level, verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Ability to follow verbal and/or written instruction
- Ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions
- Spends long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
Desired Qualifications
- 4-year degree preferred in Business, Marketing or related field or relevant experience of marketing, accounting and financial management practices preferred
- Customer Service and/or retail experience a plus
- Working knowledge of procurement, logistics and inventory management practices a plus
