Job Summary
Evaluate patients in clinic for chronic pain of varying etiologies, including low back pain, neuropathy, cancer-related pain, headaches, and fibromyalgia. Perform interventional procedures for chronic pain at the ambulatory surgery center and operating room, and provide perioperative nerve blocks for the operating room. Conduct inpatient consults for acute pain and teach anesthesiology residents and pain management fellows via didactics and patient care. Join the Emory University Hospital Midtown Pain Division, a quaternary-care academic medical center involved in research, clinical trials, and innovations in pain therapy.
Required Qualifications
- M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
- Eligible to apply for a medical license in the state of Georgia
- Pain medicine board eligible/board certified physician
- Knowledge of management of acute pain in hospitalized patients with chronic pain
Desired Qualifications
- American Board of Anesthesiology board certified/eligible
- Fellowship in Pain Medicine
