Job Summary
Contribute security guidance and verification to solution architecture for new and ongoing projects, ensuring control objectives are applied. Lead engagement with security vendors for design activities and create solutions balancing business requirements with cyber security needs. Identify design gaps in existing and proposed architectures, recommending enhancements to mitigate emerging threats. This role requires 10+ years of experience in security architecture, including expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, network segmentation, and operating systems like Windows, Linux, and UNIX. Candidates must understand DNS security principles, ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, and ITIL frameworks, alongside third-party auditing and cloud risk assessment. The position offers a non-hierarchical, agile environment with no overtime, 16 days of annual leave, and free parking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in security architecture design and implementation
- A strong working knowledge of current IT risks, security implementations, and computer operating and software programs
- The ability to interact with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and races
- Excellent teaching, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- expertise in security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), network access controls, and network segmentation
- experienced with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and UNIX
- Network security architecture and its development
- DNS security principles such as routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services, and DDOS mitigation technology
- An understanding of the ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, and ITIL frameworks
- Third-party auditing skills and cloud risk assessment methodologies
