Job Summary
Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment while performing duty manager responsibilities, including opening and closing the store across weekdays and weekends. Build team capability on Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance through engagement, performance management, and recognition. Drive department sales via strong merchandising and key metrics monitoring, while ensuring stock accuracy, replenishment discipline, and loss prevention processes. Monitor customer service levels, act on feedback, and liaise with Merchandising, Store Leadership, and suppliers. This role includes a minimum of 1 in 3 weekend roster and some public holiday work. You will report to your Operations Manager and Complex Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in leading teams in the retail industry or a large, high volume customer focused organisation
- Confident leader, experienced in opening and closing the store and supporting smooth trade across weekdays and weekends
- Champion a Safe & Secure environment by role‐modelling safety leadership and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- You must be age 15 or over to apply for a role at Bunnings
- This can include police, employment, medical and qualification checks
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in leading teams with a focus on Safety and Wellbeing and Specialist products is preferred
- You will be a highly driven individual with strong leadership and influencing skills
- You will be able to wear many hats, influence multiple stakeholders and understand KPI's and exceeding customer expectations
- Lead and inspire a large team (20+) to deliver the Best Experience through strong engagement, coaching and teamwork
- Drive strong retail fundamentals, including merchandising excellence, sales performance, stock accuracy, availability and loss prevention
