Job Summary
Department Manager responsible for leading a 24/7 production department of 50–100 employees, coordinating staffing per annual budget, planning and assigning work to optimize production flow, and driving Lean/continuous improvement initiatives (5S, PDCA, 8D, Fishbone) to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. Key duties include coordinating material needs with inventory control, utilizing Shop Floor Connect for performance data, coaching supervisors and team leads, maintaining a rigorous 5S workplace, managing ADP payroll processes, and partnering with maintenance for preventative tasks. Requires strong planning and organizational skills, experience supervising manufacturing teams, proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and MRP familiarity, and excellent written and verbal communication. Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years Supervisory Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Understanding of world class manufacturing methods.
- Experience with MRP operating system.
- Proficiency with Lean Manufacturing Tools.
- Knowledge of SAP a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; written & verbal.
