Department Manager - Business Intelligence

Job Summary
Department Manager - Business Intelligence leading design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards, reports, and data models to inform strategy and decision-making. Collaborates with business, operations, and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective BI solutions, mentors BI/analytics teams, and participates in Agile ceremonies to drive continuous improvement. Develops and optimizes DAX queries, Power Query (M), SQL scripts, and data models for high performance, ensures data governance and security, translates complex datasets into actionable insights for leadership, and supports BI project delivery and CI/CD pipelines. Requires strong experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, data visualization tools, and Azure; industry experience in retail/wholesale/e-commerce is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or strategy support roles, preferably in retail, wholesale, or e-commerce environments
- Strong hands-on experience in Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and data visualization tools; experience with cloud platforms (Azure) is preferred
- Proven experience collaborating with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience leading or mentoring BI/analytics teams, influencing cross-functional teams, and supporting strategic initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in BI project delivery, dashboard/report development, data governance, and analytics process improvement
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines for BI solutions
- Exposure to digital transformation, e-commerce, or B2B analytics projects
