Job Summary
Department Manager leads customer-focused store experiences, analyzes sales data to drive department performance, supervises Sales Advisors, supports recruitment and onboarding, ensures operational efficiency, acts as brand ambassador, and may step in as Store Manager as needed. Requires strong customer service, leadership, communication, adaptability, and familiarity with store operations; English and Dutch fluency and experience in fashion retail preferred. This is a temp full-time role (38 hours/week) in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with a mandatory integrity check as part of the application process.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Dutch
- Experience in retail, preferably fashion
- Good knowledge of store operations and standards
- Team leadership and coaching
- Strong customer service orientation
- Analytical thinking and KPI understanding
- Adaptable and flexible with hours including evenings, weekends, holidays
- Clear, confident, empathetic communication
- Ability to onboard and train new team members
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Store operations and brand standards experience
- Contract of 38 hours per week (temp full-time)
