Job Summary
Composes and edits internal and external communications, manages telephone systems, triages calls, schedules consultation appointments, and offers accurate wayfinding information. Coordinates meetings, events, and educational offerings, including event setup/breakdown and communication with stakeholders. Acts as liaison between the department and community, attending and assisting at events, and facilitating communication between consumers, providers, and staff. Manages accounts receivable and payable, including budget tracking, contract maintenance, and monthly reports. Provides timely information to the Analytics Team, assists in preparing various reports, and manages department data. Sustains knowledge of facilities, physician services, and ancillary services to assist consumers and staff with navigation and resource procurement. Supports leadership with special projects and performs other duties to ensure efficient department operations. Coordinates IS tasks, assists with payroll, and maintains supply ordering and staff schedules. Facilitates education sessions and manages instructor schedules. Manages funds for education sessions, merchandise deposits, rentals, and sales. Other duties as assigned. Emergency Department Patient Experience Liaison.
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv
- 2+ in health care setting/medical office
- Recent hospital experience or similar experience as a Health Unit Coordinator
- BLS CPR Certification Preferred or listed
- CNA/MA/CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA preferred as certifications
