Job Summary
Director leads Anoka County's Facilities Management & Construction, supervising programs and daily operations across 2.5 million square feet in 260 buildings, directing a multi-million-dollar budget and annual capital projects. Responsibilities include developing strategic plans, implementing long-range facility and capital planning, ensuring safe, dependable, well-maintained environments, delivering world-class customer service to internal and external stakeholders, communicating with County Administration and key committees, and balancing operational excellence with fiscal stewardship. The role requires a bachelor's degree and substantial experience in facilities management, budgeting, building systems, and compliance, with on-site work at the Anoka County Government Center and standard Monday–Friday hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (minimum)
- 至少8 years of job-related experience
- Experience supervising facilities management and construction operations
- Ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and multiple capital projects annually
- Knowledge of fire suppression, electrical, and mechanical building systems
- Knowledge of building codes, OSHA and ADA regulations, and other federal and state policies
- Ability to organize, direct, and supervise individuals and teams
- Driver's license background check (pre-employment)
