Job Summary
Lead academic and operational leadership for the Computer Technology programs (information technology, cybersecurity, and computer science) at Excelsior University. Provide teaching responsibilities commensurate with program size and act as a primary liaison for faculty, oversee course scheduling, faculty onboarding, and textbook coordination, and drive program quality, curriculum updates, accreditation readiness, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Instructional Design and Development to align offerings with workforce needs, promote student success in online and hybrid environments, and support faculty development, evaluation, and engagement while contributing to university initiatives and service activities.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field
- Professional experience in a relevant technical field, with industry certifications preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of higher education teaching experience
- Progressive administrative experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Prior leadership or administrative experience in higher education
- Demonstrated experience in online and/or hybrid instructional environments
- Experience with course development, assessment, and accreditation processes
- Strong track record of promoting student success using evidence-based decision-making to support the quality improvement of academic programs, curriculum, and faculty.
- Demonstrated experience with the recruitment, selection, evaluation, development, and mentoring of faculty
