Job Summary
Conduct 12-hour night shifts in the ICU float pool across Zone 3 facilities, including OrthoCO Hospital, Longmont Unite Hospital, and St Anthony locations. Titrate critical drips such as pressors, sedation, and antiarrhythmics while managing acuity levels ranging from ICU to PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele. Maintain Colorado licensure and complete BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Submit only if living over 60 miles from the facility and adhering to a 14-day start restriction. No home base required; floating is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Colorado license or compact license
- Must live >60 miles from facility
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Mountain) CommonSpirit Health
- 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Mountain) CommonSpirit Health
- 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Mountain) CommonSpirit Health
- Must have 2 years of ICU experience
- Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips: Pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, and more
- If a 1st time traveler - then they need to have 3+ years of ICU experience & have Epic experience
- Must FLOAT - Zone 3: OrthoCO Hospital, Longmont Unite Hospital, St Anthony, St Anthony North
- May be asked to float into any other acuity level: ICU, PCU/Stepdown, & MS-Tele
- No Home Base Facility
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- Must be available for 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule
- Must be available for Holiday Rotation
- Must be available for 14 days start assignment
- Must be available to work 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027
- Number of holidays allowed off: 1
- Must be available for standby or call (rare, for low census)
