Job Summary
General Dentist sought to provide comprehensive dental treatment to adults and children including restorative, oral surgery, and removable prosthodontics, as well as limited endodontics and fixed prosthodontics. Duties include evaluating risk factors to promote disease prevention and oral health, providing clinical supervision to Registered Dental Hygienists, after-hours telephone coverage on a rotating basis, participating in quality improvement activities and meetings, and working on the Mobile Dental Unit as assigned. The role may include other appropriate duties at the supervisor's discretion. Requirements include a current NC dental license (or ability to obtain), a Doctoral DDS/DMD degree, and preferred completion of AEGD/GPR or one year of experience; bilingual abilities (English and Spanish and/or Russian) are a plus. Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in North Carolina, or ability to obtain NC license
- Doctoral degree in dental surgery (DDS) or dental medicine (DMD)
- One year of experience or AEGD/GPR training is preferred
- Familiarity with role of FQHC in the community is preferred
