Job Summary
Provide comprehensive dental care including oral exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and restorative treatments while conducting diagnostic assessments with radiographs. Develop tailored treatment plans, educate patients on preventative oral health, and perform minor oral surgical procedures with anesthesia and medication prescriptions. Restore teeth with crowns, veneers, and fillings, fit and manage dentures, and supervise allied dental staff such as hygienists and therapists. Collaborate closely with internal caseworkers and external providers for integrated client care, maintain accurate clinical records, and contribute to continuous service improvement. Work Monday to Thursday with flexibility, offering trauma-informed care to people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dentistry (or equivalent) recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to practice in Australia
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Dentist, with broad diagnostic and treatment planning expertise
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people who face complex needs
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice
- A compassionate, patient approach to supporting those who struggle to access mainstream dental care
- At least three (3) COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster doses approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
- The right to work in Australia
- Completion of a Working With Children Check
- Completion of a Police Check
