Job Summary
Initiate and maintain compliance with company policies for accreditation. Complete an initial dental screening on all new commitments within seven days. Evaluate patients needing or applying for dental care and formulate individual treatment plans after thorough exams. Perform routine cleaning, drilling, filling, and extraction of teeth following National Commission for Correctional Health Care Standards. Take impressions for dental plates, send prostheses to outside labs, and prescribe pharmaceuticals to treat identified conditions. Produce clear health records and reports using the Electronic Health Records system. Maintain supplies and equipment inventory, provide in-service training for health staff, and supervise professional, technical, and administrative staff. Collaborate with the Hospital medical team, Psychiatric, Mental Health Professionals, Nurses, and Administrative Assistants. Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in dentistry from an accredited dental school
- Licensed to practice as a registered dentist in the state in which the facility is located
