Job Summary
Perform professional general dental care in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Diagnose and treat dental and oral diseases using standard practices, operative techniques, and preventive methodologies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff while demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect for diverse ethnic groups. Prioritize tasks, problem solve, and utilize Practice Management Systems and Microsoft tools. Maintain high ethical standards and reliability in serving low-income families at thirteen sites and a mobile van in Long Beach.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice dentistry in the California
- Graduate of a formal accredited school of dentistry
- Working knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of dental and oral diseases
- Working knowledge of the principles, standard practices methods, and techniques of dentistry
- Working knowledge of preventive dentistry and educational methodologies utilized in prevention
- Skill in oral operative techniques
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff
- Computer skills with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet, and Practice Management Systems
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks
- Proven reliability, trustworthiness, flexibility, and high ethical standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to treat all individuals with respect, empathy and compassion
Desired Qualifications
- FQHC experience preferred
