Job Summary
The Dentist provides direct patient care to a diverse range of patients, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, and sometimes travels to remote villages. The role includes developing and promoting dental health, acting as an advisor to the Director and Senior Clinical Director, maintaining timely communication and documentation, and supervising dental residents. The position requires a DDS or DMD degree, an active dental practice license, experience in dentistry, and skills in diagnostics and treatment. The Dentist must also adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited university
- Active Dental Practice license in state of Alaska or another US state – Alaska license preferred
- BLS
- 2+ years’ experience OR completion of Dental Residency
- Knowledge of Evidence-based dentistry practices
- HIPAA regulations
