Job Summary
Perform a full range of professional dental tasks including treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative or preventive measures such as single and multiple teeth extractions, restoration of simple and compound cavities, taking mouth impressions for crowns, jackets, dentures and bridges and fitting and inserting the finished appliances. Ensure correct patient identification through the use of at least two unique patient identifiers and perform site verification, as required. Enter workload production data into reporting system. Maintain current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a dentist with 5 years' experience within the last 6 years working in a Military Dental Treatment Facility. Utilize Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) and Composite Health Care System (CHCS) patient systems.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medical in Dentistry (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
- Graduate from an accredited dental school approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA)
- Board eligible or board certified
- Completed a clinical post-doctoral program approved by the ADA in the specialty identified in the TO
- 5 years' experience within the last 6 years working in a Military Dental Treatment Facility
- Knowledge of how to utilize and operate Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) and Composite Health Care System (CHCS) patient systems
- Familiarity with Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) dental patients and the special procedures for these patients
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a dentist
