Job Summary
Dental professional responsible for providing high-quality dental care to Sea Mar patients, supervising clinical staff per Washington Dental Act, maintaining BLS/ACLS credentials, administering safe nitrous oxide sedation, and coordinating patient care with other health professionals while adhering to infection control standards and Sea Mar’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid professional license from the State of Washington Department of Health to practice dentistry
- DDS or DMD degree (or equivalent such as BDS with USA validation)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintained during employment
- DEA Certificate if prescribing Controlled Substances
- Initial TB test at hire with annual retest
- Ability to administer nitrous oxide sedation using safe techniques
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific/technical documents
- Ability to coordinate patient care with other health professionals
- Ability to use proper procedure codes for dental services
- Familiarity with quality improvement activities in dental program
