Job Summary
Provide preventative dental care and clinical services using EPIC, digital Dexis X-ray, and NextGen EHR systems. Diagnose and treat patients consistent with training while managing staff assignments per clinic policies and California laws. Deliver high-quality care including teledentistry services and perform hygiene duties independently as needed. Treat assigned patients plus others on the clinic schedule. Maintain flexibility for evening and weekend shifts in San Rafael and/or Novato. Possess a valid California Dental License, BLS certification, and DEA registration. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school
- Possession of a valid DDS or DMD license to practice dentistry in the State of California
- Active California Dental License in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Active DEA registration
- One to two years of experience in general dentistry
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends as necessary in either San Rafael and/or Novato clinics
- Must possess good interpersonal skills to maintain and establish good relationships with dental team and patients
- Excellent communication skills
- May be required to occasionally lift at least 20 – 25lbs
- Prolonged standing, walking and working on a computer
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a GPR or AEGD program is preferred
- Prior experience in a community health or public health dental setting is highly desirable
- Experience providing dental care to pediatric patients is preferred
- Experience in oral surgery and endodontics is a plus
- Previous experience working in a bi-cultural or multicultural dental clinic environment is preferred
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
