Job Summary
Provide direct dental diagnostic and treatment services to patients, including preventative, periodontal, restorative, endodontic, minor oral surgical, exodontic, and prosthodontic procedures. Guide dental hygienists and assistants on direct and indirect patient care while coordinating clinic operations with the Health Services Administrator. Maintain patient scheduling, record-keeping, and referral systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations for controlled substances. Implement cost containment strategies and participate in patient education programs for the at-risk population at the Bay Correctional Facility. Requires DDS or DMD degree, Florida license, DEA registration, and two years of clinical practice.
Required Qualifications
- DDS degree or DMD degree
- Valid license to practice dentistry
- DEA controlled substance registration certificate in the state of Florida
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license in the state of Florida
- Acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of general clinical practice
