Job Summary
Examine patients, diagnose dental conditions, and deliver preventive or general dental care consistent with clinical protocols. Document all encounters, treatments, and referrals in the dental record while maintaining 85% documentation compliance. Educate individuals on oral health and overall wellness, utilizing the AIDET framework to reduce patient anxiety. Travel to meet operational needs, including assignments to the Mobile Dental Unit, and collaborate with support staff to achieve efficiency goals. Adhere to infection control standards, state regulations, and DHSP requirements for HIV-positive patients. Maintain licensure and complete continuing education to stay current with professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited dental school
- Current California Dental License
- Current DEA Certificate
- Current CPR Certification
- Ability to travel from site to site as needed
- Experience in working with clients and staff from diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NextGen/EDR or Dentrix preferred
