Job Summary

Provide dental care in a community clinic setting, including oral examinations, prophylaxis, fillings, extractions, root canals, periodontal surgery, and crowns. Diagnose conditions, evaluate oral health, and formulate therapeutic treatment plans while directing dental personnel. Perform all aspects of services defined by the Dental Practice Act of California, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Conduct conferences with defendants and attorneys, negotiate settlements, and testify in court. Maintain accurate documentation of client treatments and reports indicative of progress or regression. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm in Redding and Round Mountain locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Dentist in the State of California
  • Excellent working knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, principles, theories, techniques and practices of dentistry
  • Ability to perform all necessary duties involved in dental hygienist protocol and procedures
  • Ability to perform all necessary duties involved in dental assistant
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Highest level language skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, attorneys, judges, and/or boards of directors
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Very high reasoning skills
  • Ability to independently assess the nature and extent of dental, periodontics, and associated conditions and pathology
  • Ability to formulate effective therapeutic treatment plans
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of medical management software
  • Working knowledge of all standard dental equipment necessary to perform duties
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to perform duties ethically
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate ability to re-prioritize duties as needs arise
  • Ability to use time efficiently
