Job Summary
Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues, then develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. Perform a range of procedures including fillings, extractions, and preventative care while educating patients on oral hygiene practices. Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with dental hygienists to ensure efficient practice operations. Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques. This part-time Maximum Term role is based at our largest clinic in East Perth and our brand new clinic in Midland.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent qualification
- Current AHPRA registration as a General Dentist
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural issues impacting on health
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Computer skills in patient management systems
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends
- Provision of the minimum identity proofing requirements
- Successful Criminal Record Screening Clearance
- Successful Pre-Employment Health Assessment
- Successful Working with Children Check
- Evidence of current C or C-A Class driver's license or other specialised license class
Desired Qualifications
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Previous experience in Aboriginal Healthcare
- Experience using Dental4Windows patient management software
