Job Summary
Dentist needed at Esskay Dental to provide high-quality dental care in a state-of-the-art, on-site clinic. The role involves conducting initial oral screenings, developing and executing individualized treatment plans, performing procedures including extractions, root canals, fillings, and installing dental prostheses (bridges, dentures). You will monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws, manage dental emergencies, prescribe pre/postoperative medications, maintain accurate patient records, ensure regulatory compliance, and advise patients on oral health care. The position requires a DDS or DMD from an accredited school, a valid state license (or eligibility), and strong communication and leadership abilities to supervise staff and deliver excellent patient care. Proficiency with digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and common office software is expected, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license (or eligible to obtain licensure upon hire) to practice dentistry without restrictions
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience in dentistry post-graduation is preferred
- Strong understanding of disease prevention and periodontal care as well as general dentistry practices and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, with a proficiency in explaining complex dental concepts to patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Proficiency using modern dental software and technology including digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and common office software
- Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and training staff, ensuring high standards and efficient operations of the dental office
- A commitment to continuous education by participating in professional development activities to stay current with the latest advancements in dental care
- Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care
- Ability to maintain detailed patient records with high accuracy
- Excellent manual dexterity, with the ability to perform precise and sometimes complex dental procedures
