Job Summary
Provide a wide range of dental services including examinations, diagnostics, and treatments while supervising dental students as an Adjunct Faculty Member. Educate patients on oral health and preventive care, and collaborate with the CEO, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team to improve service delivery. Assist in developing department policies, engage in community outreach for oral health education, and participate in planning initiatives for the Dental Clinic. Ensure adherence to regulations and contribute to quality assurance efforts while providing expert consultation on dental health issues to leadership. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited dental school
- Current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Virginia
- AHA BLS-HCP certification
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Requires fine motor skills for dental procedures
- Ability to handle critical and emergency situations
- Exposure to potential health hazards typical of a healthcare environment, including disease transmission and the need for personal protective equipment (PPE)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinical dental setting
- ACLS certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of public health principles
- Proficiency with dental software and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Experience working with underserved communities
