Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in routine and emergency dental treatment across agency venues, diagnosing and treating with hygiene services, restorations, endodontics, extractions, dental prostheses, and referrals. Educate patients/parents on oral health; prescribe medications as needed; document all care and maintain records and billing. Collaborate with clinical, technical, and administrative staff; review department productivity and support strategies for financial self-sufficiency. Provide 24-hour call coverage for patients of record; assist in policy/procedure development; participate in hiring clinical staff; attend regular dental team meetings; implement the department's Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan; perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Director.
Required Qualifications
- DMD, DDS, or equivalent
- Massachusetts license to practice dentistry
- Experience: dental residency or one year of post-graduate practice preferred
