Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting. Provide general dental services including restorations, extractions, endodontic procedures, crowns, dentures, periodontal treatments, and preventive care, while delivering emergency services for pain management and urgent procedures. Interpret radiographs and diagnostic results to ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical guidelines. Collaborate with medical and behavioral health teams for integrated care, participate in case reviews and care coordination, and educate patients on oral health and preventive strategies. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record and comply with federal, state, and local regulations including HRSA, UDS, and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Current state dental license (or eligibility for licensure) and in good standing
- Current DEA registration
- CPR/BLS certification
- Commitment to serving underserved communities and advancing health equity
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an FQHC, CHC, or public health environment
- Proficiency with electronic dental records (EDR) systems
- Experience with bilingual or multicultural populations
- Eligibility for federal loan repayment programs (NHSC/LRP)
