Dental Surgical Assistant - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Center City/Navy Yard

Job Summary
Provide chairside surgical support for oral and maxillofacial procedures and facial pain treatments; sterilize instruments and prepare tray setups; set up instrumentation in sterile environments; maintain radiographs (CBCT, peri-apical, Panorex) and document appropriately; manage logs and ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, ADA, and TJUH safety and infection-control policies; travel between Center City and Navy Yard offices as needed; maintain patient records per OMFS workflows and uphold patient safety and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- PA Certification in Oral Radiology required within 90 days of hire
- Dental Assistant Diploma preferred (not required)
- Experience: minimum 2 years preferred in OMFS
- Knowledge of radiographs: CBCT, Peri-apical, Panorex
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience dealing with medically compromised individuals
