Job Summary
Assist prosthodontists and surgeons in clinical operations, prosthetics, surgery, and digital scanning to provide state-of-the-art dental implant solutions. Support a variety of surgical and restorative procedures by sterilizing instruments, preparing equipment, and treatment rooms per OSHA and infection control guidelines. Take and process accurate impressions, digital impressions, and X-rays while welcoming patients, documenting medical histories, and maintaining treatment charts. Deliver pre/post operative care instructions and follow-up care with clarity. Stay updated on industry best practices, infection control protocols, and regulatory guidelines. Ability to travel between offices as needed. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Direct oral surgery experience and sedation administration skills are assets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program
- Proficient in all back-office dental duties including four-handed dentistry, taking and processing digital X-rays, infection control, disinfection, and sterilization procedures
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Ability to travel between offices as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with dental software and appointment scheduling systems (Open Dental experience is a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish a plus)
- Direct oral surgery assisting experience in a surgeon-led practice
- Experience in administering general anesthesia and/or oral conscious sedation, with a strong understanding of sedation protocols and patient monitoring
- Understanding of All-on-4 and implant treatment
