Job Summary
Dental Supervisor responsible for supervising dental assistants and receptionists, coordinating patient flow, assisting dental providers, and ensuring compliance with sterilization and OSHA regulations. Duties include organizing scheduling, triaging patients, training new staff, counseling and supervising personnel, understanding dental procedures and codes, handling insurance questions, maintaining documentation for quality improvement activities, and participating in community dental outreach; travel may be required and role involves coordinating with the Regional Coordinator and Dental Director.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of basic courses in dental assisting and office management or equivalent
- Current Washington State Dental Assistant Registration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Annual influenza vaccine (or approved exemptions with mask requirement)
- Ability to read/write in English and interpret dental materials
- Knowledge of dental insurance programs and procedure codes
- Ability to operate Misys or current dental software
