Dental Service and Equipment Specialist

Job Summary
Manage dental equipment orders from request through delivery and installation across all SDP offices, coordinating procurement timelines with internal teams and vendors. Maintain a centralized asset inventory including dental equipment and sensor inventory, conducting regular audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify opportunities to optimize equipment utilization. Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment service requests across the network, opening and tracking service tickets with vendors while escalating urgent issues to ensure timely resolution. Own x-ray registration requirements across all SDP offices, managing new registrations, renewals, and updates to ensure timely compliance. Lead weekly vendor meetings to review open issues, service performance, and escalations, while verifying invoices for accuracy against contracted pricing. Create and maintain training documents and standard operating procedures for equipment and service processes. Cross-train in other procurement functions, including clinical supplies and labs, to provide coverage and support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in dental equipment, procurement, dental equipment service and repair, or a closely related field
- Strong knowledge of dental equipment, including common categories, vendors, service requirements, and repair processes
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of concurrent tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working within procurement or ticketing systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with office teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize effectively and maintain urgency in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a DSO or multi-site dental environment
- Familiarity with Henry Schein systems, reporting, and vendor management processes
- Experience managing X-ray or other regulated equipment registrations across multiple states
- Experience with asset management or inventory tracking systems
