Job Summary

Administrative Assistant in the Dental Department at Oklahoma City Indian Clinic. Responsibilities include dental receptionist duties, managing patient appointments, verifying Medicaid/insurance eligibility, navigating EDR/RPMS and Dentrix, collecting registration data, explaining billing and privacy practices, and training new staff. Requires high school diploma or GED, 1+ year dental office experience, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with Dentrix. Knowledge of OHCA/Medicaid eligibility processes and ability to handle insurance documentation and patient flow is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on dental office experience
  • Experience in dental assisting, dental billing, or dental front office/administrative operations
  • Working knowledge of dental terminology, dental procedures, and overall dental practice workflows
  • Proven experience with patient scheduling and appointment management in a dental office setting
  • Computer proficiency with experience in Dentrix dental software
  • Excellent customer service and patient care skills; effective communication with patients and team members
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced dental clinic environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
