Job Summary
Greet patients and serve as the director of first impressions for the clinic; coordinate and schedule appointments and confirm upcoming appointments; discuss treatment plans with patients and guardians, providing clear information on the necessity and benefits of recommended procedures; manage patient records and ensure treatments are documented and communicated to the dental staff; collaborate with the dental care team to streamline patient care and optimize treatment schedules; handle billing and payment processing; engage in ongoing education about pediatric dental practices to enhance the role; facilitate communication between patients, families, and dental care professionals to ensure effective treatment outcomes; provide empathetic support and guidance to patients and families to make their dental care experience positive.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator or similar role in a dental office environment is preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of dental terminology, practices, and treatment coordination process
- Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations
- High level of professionalism and discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
