Job Summary
Dental Receptionist needed to deliver front-office support for a Native preference–advantaged clinic in Woodland, CA. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, answering and routing calls, scheduling patient flow, registering and updating patient information, processing referrals, utilizing third-party payer/insurance portals, applying correct billing codes for third-party payers, coordinating with clinical staff for patient preparation and documentation, maintaining accurate medical records per HIPAA/HITECH and policy, and handling releases of information. The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, knowledge of Medi-Cal/private insurance, experience with electronic health records, and the ability to protect patient privacy. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1-year Customer Service or clerical office experience
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance systems (Medi-Cal, Private Insurance)
- Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH regulations
- Proficient computer skills for scheduling, updating information, and EHR
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
