Job Summary
Dental Receptionist I responsible for answering phones, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance eligibility, ensuring consent forms are signed and updated, creating and managing patient charts, scanning documents, providing excellent customer service, building patient rapport, collecting copayments and coinsurance, processing referrals, and supporting front-office operations. Duties include scheduling, handling appointments, responding to patient questions, managing voicemails/faxes/emails/portal messages, maintaining a clean front office, stocking supplies, and traveling to other dental clinics to provide coverage. Required skills include experience with multi-line phones, scheduling, and computer use; proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems (e.g., IMS, EPIC, and Dentrix); and the ability to communicate effectively in English with a willingness to assist diverse patient populations. Language abilities in Russian, Farsi/Dari, or Spanish are noted as helpful. Physical demands include lifting up to 20 pounds and prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking within a clinic environment.
Required Qualifications

- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Knowledge of insurance verification and billing basics
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
