Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients to create a strong first impression, then manage front office duties including answering phones, checking mail, and communicating with patients and insurance companies. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records, while confirming appointments for multiple providers. File and follow up on insurance claims, verify benefits, and process accounts receivable. Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients, partnering with providers to implement office systems. This role requires access to PHI and regular HIPAA training. Join a 10-person team at Millwood Family Dental, part of Heartland Dental's network of 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions
- Regular HIPAA training
- Ability to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting
- 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
