Job Summary
Verify patients' dental insurance benefits and eligibility, then submit claims accurately and promptly. Follow up on outstanding claims and appeals while posting payments and reconciling accounts. Review treatment plans to provide insurance estimates and communicate with carriers regarding status, benefits, and pre-authorizations. Assist patients in understanding coverage and maintain accurate records in practice management software. Collaborate with the front office and clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience and support administrative operations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous dental insurance coordination experience
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, claim processing, and benefit verification
- Experience with PPO insurance plans and insurance aging reports
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
