Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive preventative dental care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools including Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and x-rays while maintaining accurate records in electronic medical record systems. Provide exceptional lifetime care to patients as an integral member of the patient care team, supported by mentorship and educational opportunities to enhance clinical skills. Perform essential duties including prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and lift up to 45 pounds as required by the office. Complete a tuberculosis test prior to employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Georgia
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Dental hygiene procedures
- Dental patient screening
- Medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
