Job Summary
Conduct daily dental hygiene procedures, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative care maintenance. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems to support clinical needs as required by the office. Perform essential duties involving prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and lift up to 45 pounds when necessary. Complete a tuberculosis test prior to starting employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Work part-time hours from 7:30am to 4pm on Wednesdays and 7:30am to 5pm on Thursdays in Tomball, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Texas
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Excellent working knowledge of dental hygiene procedures
- Excellent working knowledge of dental patient screening
- Excellent working knowledge of medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
