Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
Provide dental prophylaxis on inmates referred by medical unit staff and deliver individualized oral hygiene instructions while monitoring periodontal conditions. Assist the Chief and Staff Dentists as needed, complete necessary dental x-rays, and sterilize instruments per medical unit specifications. Perform required paperwork related to dental healthcare and medical unit needs. Schedule runs from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, with up to 40 sessions per week. Certified/licensed Dental Hygienist with radiology, anesthesia, and CPR certifications is required; three years of experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in any State
- Dental radiology certification
- Anesthesia certification
- CPR certification
