Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive preventive and periodontal care as part of Tend’s Team (Assisted) Hygiene model, collaborating with a dedicated dental assistant to optimize patient flow and care. Responsibilities include prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance (SRP), gingivitis scaling, oral cancer screenings, intraoral imaging (Itero), sealants, Zoom whitening, fluoride treatments, and patient education; participate in hygiene exams with dentists to identify treatment needs; drive hygiene production by maximizing chair time and pursuing same-day care opportunities; maintain strong patient relationships and coordinate with the broader studio team to ensure seamless care; engage in ongoing professional development via CE opportunities and internal forums. Required credentials include a degree from an accredited dental hygiene program, active hygiene license in the applying state, applicable anesthesia/nitrous license, CPR/BLS, and proficiency with digital charting and radiography. The role supports part-time, full-time, or PRN scheduling within Tend’s flexible hygiene model.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current, active hygiene license in the state you’re applying for
- Current Anesthesia/Nitrous license in applicable state
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Comfort with digital charting and x-rays, intraoral cameras, and technology-driven care
