Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive preventative dental care and patient screenings while documenting medical histories and administering local anesthesia. Perform daily hygiene procedures, utilize digital scanners and electronic medical records, and maintain overall dental health for patients. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:00pm with optional Friday hours, completing required TB testing prior to employment. Join an 8-person team within a state-of-the-art facility offering mentorship support and opportunities for clinical skill development.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Florida
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Local Anesthesia certification
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of prior Dental Hygiene experience
- Experience using Dentrix, VideaAI, iTero, Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
