Job Summary
Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through 60-minute recall and 90-minute new patient appointments. Utilize Dentrix for medical history documentation and patient screening while performing procedures such as Arestin, iTero, and Velscope treatments. Provide education to patients and maintain clinical standards using digital scanners, x-rays, and electronic records. Complete bi-weekly or hourly shifts with options for daily pay, adhering to office hours on Mondays, Thursdays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Maintain a safe environment by passing required TB testing and meeting physical demands including lifting up to 45 pounds. Join a 10-person team supported by Heartland Dental's extensive network of mentors and clinical resources.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Nevada
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
