Job Summary
Conduct patient screenings, preventive care, and overall maintenance of dental health through recare, SRPs, and new patient appointments. Perform clinical duties including dental hygiene procedures, medical history documentation, and use of diagnostic tools such as Velscope, digital scanners, and iTero. Maintain patient schedules averaging 6-8 patients daily with 50-minute recare slots. Complete TB testing and virtual or in-person training sessions as part of the pre-employment and ongoing onboarding process. Join a 25-person collaborative team within a state-of-the-art practice featuring 18 operatories and advanced equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in IL
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test

- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
