Job Summary
Conduct dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation for patients at Spring Street Family Dentistry. Perform preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health while utilizing digital x-rays, electronic medical record systems, and diagnostic tools as required by the office. Complete a tuberculosis test prior to starting employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year. Work the Friday shift from 6:30am to 2:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Georgia
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Dental hygiene procedures
- Dental patient screening
- Medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope
- Experience using Diagnodent
- Experience using digital scanner
- Experience using digital x-rays
- Experience using electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
